Last night was dad's 60th birthday and he threw himself a big celebration. And as dutiful son and daughter-in-law, we made another trip to town. Oh...the drive!
The madness at the party...you had to be there. I told Jess that if I turn this crazy at 60, please someone tell me. But dad had a fantastic time, and that is all that mattered. He was still rambling about it this morning.
I watched the Rockets live from Shanghai on ESPN this morning but left around half time to pick up my bean bag from dad's house. The size of that thing...
When we got home, I rolled the darn thing up the stairs and shoved it into the room. It is huge. Anyways...the room looks like a freaking jungle. A bit chaotic, but I'd like to live in there...haha. Well...that's kinda like the purpose. Lyn and I plan to spend a lot of time with our baby in that room. And the bean bag is actually his chair where he will be napping and reading books to his baby. Kinda neat.
Oh well...much to do. Have to clean out closet, hang some curtains and pictures and stuff.
Believe or not, my registry was depleted after our Houston trip. Now dad and mom's friends want to throw us another shower in Houston - for both Jess n' I. We think it's like...fun for them or something. So I got to go register for some more stuff. I guess I can start accumulating toys for when they get to 1 or 2 years old. But that's just kinda ridiculous. Oh well...I can't complain too much, it's a nice gesture.
I read today that Colin Farrell and Jamie Fox will star in the motion picture Miami Vice. Now...why would they want to make a movie out of that series? Will Colin be wearing a white suit with his sleeves rolled up?
