We headed out Friday afternoon for Houston. We stopped by Borders for Lyn to pick up a copy of Super Systems (he's been buggin' forever!). Afterwards was dinner at Americas. It was prrriccccey! We all had either seafood or Churassco, except Law who went for the pork. Food was very very good, but I can't say excellent cause I couldn't have wine. Lyn did and he said his meal was awesome. And it was Rojo...your fav Ric. Haha. So we decided...fancy food must be accompanied by wine or it's just not as good. Otherwise, go to any other joint and you can still have a solid meal for a quarter of the price.
Of course we played cards. And of course we did baby stuff.
On both Sat n' Sun, we went furniture shopping to prepare for the auction. I got a stuffed animal, a bean bag, and a glider and ottoman. Saved 50% from retail. Yah! I didn't get any furniture cause they didn't have what I wanted, but Jess got home with tons of furnishings at a great price.
Man...that auction was crazy. Crazy mothers. Crazy grandmothers (one was always bidding against me). And crazy that there was no light and air conditioning. And this is Houston folks! I swear I sweated out a couple pounds.
We drove back in the evening and crashed after some HBO.
Woke up this morning and dropped Lyn off at work and headed out to order the rest of my baby furniture. Yeah...it's all done. Tomorrow, I'm gonna go to the Container Store annual shelve sale and get my baby closet elpha'd.
Hmm with a bean bag like that -- maybe we dont need to get a crib hehe
