Aight...he's 30, but we all stay 29 for a long long time.
Yes, if you read Lyn's last post, I did get him a gigantic cake from Lucy's...special order...strawberry whipped cream... But he was all shocked cause he's low profile and didn't want no celebration in the office. But they celebrated and the cake was gone in minutes...and I hear everyone loved it. Good thing he packed up a big piece for me cause afterall...it's MY favorite cake...and yah, it was fantastic...as for white cake goes...this is the only way to go... I mean everyone including myself can bake an awesome chocolate cake, but to get the perfect white cake...that's skills baby!
Well...I didn't want to be a total pig so I did give him some of my cake after his XBox game. He lost but he says it was definitely the BEST GAME OF THE WEEK. He says to check the play by play. So you guys can feel free to reply to that one...haha. I had to watch the whole thing...and yah...it was one of the better games I've had to watch.
So Lyn took the day off since I was constantly nagging him. Now he's mowing the lawn cause he says he feels good when he takes care of his lawn. Whatever! So I woke up and got breakfast and some gas for him for the lawnmower. Geez...they need to say DANGER on that little can. So I was pumping the nozzle and the pressure of the gas was so strong that the nozzle flew out of the can and started to spray all over...like that scene in ZOOLANDER!
Hero came out in the US today. Bad ass movie. We watched it again last night on DVD cause I encouraged Lyn to watch it again to understand the story before going to the theater and get overwhelmed by the kung fu and cinematography. I swear...I cry like a freaking baby every time - just the last 10 minutes though. Ebert gave it 3 1/2. Cool. We will probably catch it in town next week. Also...Shaun of the Dead is doing a sneak preview in Austin with Ain't It Cool New's Harry...ya know...the arrogant film geek. We're going to that...cause they're gonna have zombies walking around downtown...haha. That movie is definitely gonna become a cult classic...it already is in Europe.
Anyways...going to Americas tonight. Exciting. I will have full report for Ric on Monday...haha.
Review of Hero....
If you regarded Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) as the blood wedding of martial arts and art-house pictures, welcome to Zhang Yimou's Hero (Miramax), which makes that highbrow Ang Lee/James Schamus concoction look like sleazy grind-house chopsocky.
