This week in recap:

1. I've been wanting to eat a McD's fish filet sandwich. Lyndon won't let me eat McD's so I went by myself after Yoga yesterday. Ha punk! Anyhoo. I didn't want cheese, so they had to make a special order for me while I hold up the lunch drive thru line. But of course when I took a bite, it had double the cheese and no tartar sauce!!!

2. Every couple of weeks some family in my neighborhood will host a party of some sort. Some wine and cheese stuff for adults or birthday bashes for the kids. But this week we got a invitation for an art showing! That is just crazy, what...did they turn their fancy home into a gallery? Anyways, I don't like to go to these things cause they just sound too sophisticated for me. And besides, how embarassing, I can't afford no real art anyways. But I'm hoping that after I have kids, I'd be mature enough to hang with these folks. Well...eventually. Hahaha.

3. Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. I know...Law would just tell me to watch this at home. But for some whack reason, I really want to see it. It's got really good reviews for a stoner road trip movie. Besides, I should've thought of this first...I've always wanted to try a White Castle burger.

4. John Kerry stole our song. He played It's a Beautiful Day after his speech. And why do the Democrats have to try to act hip anyways? And what's up with Ben Affleck covering the convention?

5. Geez Ricky! Just go smoke your weed! Why you gotta tell the papers how many drug tests you failed? They don't need to know! Extra Clean! Extra Clean!

6. Third Watch is a really good show. I catch reruns on A&E everyday...well...when I'm not cat napping.

Ouch everywhere!

My back started to sore a week ago. And then my leg cramped up today while stretching.

I guess I'm approaching the painful part of pregnancy.

Going to yoga. Hope it's a fix.

Infernal Affairs

Matt Damon is hot!

Okay, for those of you that watch Hong Kong movies...please watch Infernal Affair. There are 3 in the series, but first is the best...the original.

It stars Andy Lau, Tony Leung and a bunch of other stars. It's a cop drama.

But get this. Martin Scorsese will be remaking the American version starring Matt Damon and Leonardo Dicaprio! Can't wait!

Ricky Williams retires!

He's only 27! I guess I retired at 27 too.

Well...he got tested positive for drugs. But he wasn't kicked out, just on probation. However, he figures...screw it...he wants to be free and live his life how he sees fit. Besides, he was just puffing some weed anyways. Austinite habits are hard to break...what ya gonna do....LOL.

He's going to travel Asia for the next few months and probably move back to Austin to go back to school.

Matt Damon is Jason Bourne

So kick ass!

Anyhow. If you go see it, please sit towards the back and don't go on a full stomach. There are fight scenes and chase scenes that may make you dizzy. But dang, was it well orchestrated. We agree with the critics, the movie's got some of the best and innovative direction of action sequences yet.

Plot was good. Of course, it's a Robert Ludlum story. The pace is almost as good as his writing.

We love cool spy movies. This is not the cheesy type.

Friday means the weekend is here!

Friday means I get to nag Lyndon into leaving after lunch. We will go baby furniture shopping.

Friday means he will take me to see a new movie. Bourne Supremacy. Matt Damon...hehe.

Friday means we will stay up late and do goofy stuff. But tonight, I think he will be playing games. Yes ya'll, I got him DSL Pro.

Friday means I should go buy some ice cream.

Customer service...

Well...I decided to write the Alamo Drafthouse in Houston concerning some suggestions for improvement. I told them I was a loyal customer but disappointed with the quality of the theater. Wow. I got 2 responses back in one day. I guess they escalated the issue and said they will make the necessary improvements. Who knows how long it will take, but I'm glad they took my suggestions seriously.

I know...kinda crazy, but I wasn't going to let the only theater chain I go to get a bad reputation in any city. Haha.

H-town Weekend

Went to H-town Friday and had dinner with the family at Cheddars. It was good and cheap. Then we went to Law and Jess's to play cards. I won a couple of bucks, but Lyn cleaned house! I had to sit infront of him which I hate, cause I'm always out of position (he's aggressive). But at least I didn't loose to him cause I would of kicked his ass later. Hahaha....just joking.

Saturday was car shopping day. Went to look for a new car for his dad. He wanted to get another SUV. Crazy, he's got every Lexus SUV there is and now he wants another. So we talked him into a sedan. Cool...it's so nice.

After lunch, Lyn and Law played games and Jess and I went to buy baby clothes. Jess is a determined shopper. Haha.

For dinner, we went to the Alamo in Houston to see Dodgeball again since Law and Jess haven't seen it yet. It was packed. We didn't expect the Houston Alamo to be popular. Food was comparable to the ones in Austin. So we enjoyed it. But the small theaters haven't been upgraded so the sound system was weak. The wait staff needed a bit more practice about being discreet too. The lighting was not dim enough either. But I can't complaint about Alamo too much cause I love it. I just thought the one in Houston could use just a tad of improvement. But no matter, I will be back there when in town, cause I just don't like regular theaters anymore. But we will only go see the new releases in the rooms with DTS.

Sunday, Law and Jess took us to breakfast before we headed back. Lyn had some client in town so we couldn't stay longer.

Overall, great weekend.

My hubby cracks me up!

After some breakfast tacos, I dropped Lyn off at the park n' ride.

The dude is crazy. He tries to sneak onto the bus while the bus driver is in the restroom to save 50 freaking cents! And this was not the first time!

UPDATE: But see, this shit is bad karma. He told me at lunch that he lost over 70 cents in change from his backpack. LOL. Silly man.

Football season already?

I accompanied Lyndon to go pick up his game tonight. Yes, he is currently playing.

EB started to sell the game at 8pm and by the time we got there, there was a line.

I think at our age, we should no longer be waiting in line for game releases. It's kinda weird when there are parents with their kids and high school students waiting around you.

So Lyn says this is our baby's first experience with release night. Ah...great.

Then he got sucked into pre-ordering Halo 2 cause there is like 200 people on the waiting list already at this location. I sure hope they will have enough servers up and ready cause it looks like it's gonna be overloaded real fast.
