Sold out all Saturday. Fine...since we tried to get tickets at noon.

Sold out all Sunday. That's nuts. I was at the box office at 10AM.

Guess that's what I get for not using Fandango.

Will try again on Monday. Trying to catch it before Spider Man.

Along Came Polly is a really good movie. Lyndon even liked it!

Food!

I've been in town all week so I've been dropping by to have lunch with Lyndon.

Waterloo, Juan in a Million, Huts... We finally tried Hoover's Cooking. I thought it was like Dot's (greasy soul food), but it wasn't. It was like upscale soul food. We headed out with a $30 lunch ticket. That's crazy. But food was awesome. I liked the jalapeno spinach casserole. Juan in a Million rocks, can't beat the lunch specials. I had a burger at Huts. It was good. Lyn had the chicken fried steak. I don't think he enjoyed it as much as his college days. Waterloo had the best catfish. But I had a burger there too. I liked how they put all that mustard on it.

We are going out tonight, so I won't go there for lunch. Bummers. I like how we spend so much time together. Good thing I don't work...haha. I'm gonna do that when I have the baby...just show up and have him buy us lunch. Hehe...that's what my mom did when I was little. My brother and I would have lunch with dad and go play in the park for the afternoon. Sounds like a plan.

I think we will go out for breakfast and I'll drop him off at the park and ride this morning. Taco Cabana? I like their tortillas.

Watched Bad Santa last night. Funny.

Our last day

Day 7:
We spend our entire last day on the beach at our resort. We got our two favorite beach chairs and just relaxed all day. We even ate at the restaurant next to the pool just so we didn't have to leave.

We had a truly fabulous time in Kauai. It was fun and relaxing. We don't know when we will ever be able to spend time like this together again. From now on, it's gonna be baby baby baby!

We packed up and left around dinner time and went to Hamura's Saimin. Afterall, it was our favorite on this trip. We had our cheap noodles and headed for the airport. We took a deep breath of Hawaii air and boarded our plane.

The flight was quick, we woke up when we arrived in LA. But unfortunately our flight from LA to AUS got delayed for 2 hours, so we spend an entire morning at the airport. BTW, how can Burger King charge $16 bucks for 2 breakfast meals? It's rubbery!

Mushi seemed fine when we got home. She did miss us, but our pet sitter had done a great job.

Day 6:

Waimea Canyon: Mark Twain had called it the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, so it was a must see in Kauau. We went early morning and stopped by various scenic outlooks for pictures. But once we reached the top, it had become overcast by mist and fog and the canyon was barely visible. I heard that maybe we should've gone before sunrise.

Jo-Jo's Shaved Ice: Supposedly the best on the island. He's a kama'aina (a long time Hawaii resident) - he was white and called his suppliers locals. Interesting guy. He recommended all the flavors except li-ming-hui (chinese dried plum), cause he figures the tourists won't like it. But I had to try it...and it was good. He also owned a shop next door that sold red dirt t-shirts (Kauai is famous for red dirt so t-shirts were dyed from it). We bought a couple as souvenirs.

Shrimp Station: When you are on an island, you should eat some shrimps...hehe. We were craving fried foods, so Lyn had beer battered shrimps and I had coconut shrimps. We both agreed that the coconut shrimp was the best we've had. They even served it in this cool tarter sauce with a touch of ginger.

Boogie Boarding: We spend most of the afternoons boogie boarding at the Sheraton Kiahuna Beach. We rented one board for 2 days. I figure I wasn't going to do much boarding. I had to restrain myself and only catch a couple of waves. Can't imagine the pressure on the belly is any good for the baby. Oh I miss boarding. But the rest of the time, I watched Lyndon have a good time.

People Watching: There were tons of locals that came out to this beach to "skateboard" - so tricks and stuff. That was real entertaining to watch, esp the boys who were trying to impress the girls. BTW - low rise bikinis were everywhere...darn these high school chicks...hehe.

Keoki's Paradise: It was my birthday so we had to go to a fancier joint for some food. I thought it would be some expensive Pappadeux, but I was surprised that it was really good. I had Ono covered with mac nut. It was a great evening...sucked that I couldn't have wine though.

Rainy day...things on my mind...

I really really hate it when it rains. I tried to get Lyndon to stay home, but he wouldn't.

I finished my scrapbook for Kauai. I love it. I'm about to start with my first client on my scrapbooking biz this Thurs. Will see how that goes.

I bought a dress from Pea in a Pod for a wedding. I hope I can still fit in it on July 4.

My new sofa set will arrive Thurs too. Thank goodness cause our backs are hurting from sitting on that blow up bed for weeks - just so Lyn can watch HD. Crazy!

Rented many movies lately. Pretty Dirty Things - we love British films...don't know why...I think cause I dig the whole culture, particularly their humor. Well...this aint' no comedy, it was freaking depressing. I ate a whole box of chocolate covered mac nuts during the movie just to make myself feel better.

Dad wants a new p&s digi cam so I've been doing research and going to check them out. I want the Canon S60 too, but I shouldn't. I have to buy kiddie furniture. And I still have plenty of mileage on my S45.

Vacuuming the stairs takes two people. That's ridiculous.

Grocery day. I need Propel. I've been dreaming of steaks lately. What does that mean?
